A carport is a cheaper alternative to a garage and protects your car from snow, hail, rain and UV. A metal frame is strong and lasts for decades.
For one or two cars
A carport can be built for one car (about 3×5 m) or two (about 6×5 m). It can be attached to the house wall or stand freely in the yard.
Roof covering
- Polycarbonate — transparent, light, lets daylight through
- Profiled steel sheet — opaque and quieter in the rain
In Latvia the snow load matters: we design the structure to carry heavy wet snow without deformation.
A roof slope of at least 10–15 degrees is recommended so snow and water slide off by themselves.
Manufacturing and installation
